An assistant, not a spreadsheet.

Chat-first expense tracker with personality. Open source, MIT, self-hostable. No telemetry, no per-user pricing, neutral English (or rioplatense Spanish — your call). Every feature is built so you can understand your money without fighting Excel — and when you do want the month as a spreadsheet, Clara has that on desktop too.

New · desktop

When you want the month as a table, it’s here.

On wide screens, month expenses open as a bank-grouped spreadsheet: recurring/one-off filters, charts, double-click edit, and a simulate mode to try scenarios without changing your real data.

  • Grouped by bank — not a wall of loose rows
  • Simulate “what if…” without saving anything
  • Click a number and ask Clara on the spot

Clara’s answers are informational and can be wrong; they are not financial advice.

  • Month expenses as a table

On desktop, the month opens as a bank-grouped spreadsheet: recurring/one-off filters, charts, double-click edit, and what-if simulation without changing your real data.

  • Reads your statements

Drop a bank screenshot, a PDF or a CSV. Clara extracts transactions, suggests categories and always asks before touching anything.

  • Listens to voice notes

"Paid rent" from the web chat or Telegram is enough. Clara transcribes, classifies and updates the month without you opening the app.

  • Clara on Telegram too

Link Telegram from Settings → Integrations and chat with Clara from your phone or desktop. Same brain, same quota and same tools as the web: send a bank screenshot, a voice note or plain text, and Clara replies in your language.

  • Organized by month

A template defines a recurring expense. Each month has an independent copy that you tick when you pay it.

  • Real multi-bank

Every expense knows which bank it lives in. Useful when you split rent across three accounts and want to know how much is left in each.

  • Charts only when they help

Clara does not throw charts for the sake of it. They render inline only when they actually clarify what's going on.

  • Speaks plain English

No corporate jargon. Clara talks like an accountant friend who knows what she's doing — no lectures, promised.

  • Your data is yours

Open source MIT. Self-hostable on any Vercel/Postgres. No telemetry, no tracking, no AI upsell at $9.99/month.

  • MCP for your AI

Clara exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Hook it up to Claude Desktop, Cursor or ChatGPT and your own assistant can query and update your finances with your permission.

less drama

Clara's rule:
less spreadsheet, more decisions.

Only recurring templates start as pending. Anything you log during the month — chat, voice or photo — defaults to paid. You focus on deciding, Clara handles the rest.

Your money clear, in five minutes.

Sign up, optionally link Telegram, and Clara takes care of the rest.
